ABSTRACT: One of the fundamental principles is that all individuals, including girls, boys, and LGTBIQ+ adolescents, have the right to live free from discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. This is crucial to ensure their well-being and development. LGTBIQ+ children and adolescents have the right to express and live according to their gender identity, which includes the right to change their name and legal gender if they wish, and to receive appropriate medical and psychological support for gender transition if relevant. All children and adolescents, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, are entitled to receive inclusive and respectful education. This involves promoting safe educational environments free from harassment or discrimination. It is essential that LGTBIQ+ children and adolescents have access to adequate healthcare services that respect their gender identity and sexual orientation. They should also receive psychological support if they face difficulties related to their identity. Furthermore, LGTBIQ+ youth have the right to privacy and confidentiality concerning their sexual orientation and gender identity, including the protection of their personal information in medical and educational settings. They also have the right to participate in decision-making processes affecting their lives and to live free from violence and harassment due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
