Discusiones sobre investigación y epistemología de género en la ciencia y la tecnología

Abstract

El presente libro incluye las conferencias aportadas por las invitadas especiales y una selección de contribuciones recibidas en el XI Congreso Iberoamericano de Ciencia, Tecnología y Género, realizado en Costa Rica en julio del 2016. Los trabajos se presentan en 4 capítulos como un recurso que aporta a la reflexión y profundización sobre la temática. En el primer capítulo titulado Conferencias Magistrales, se reproducen las presentaciones de las tres académicas invitadas. En el segundo capítulo denominado Trayectorias Feministas, se ha incluido dos experiencias de vida ligadas al desarrollo de la ciencia, como homenaje a la lucha de innumerables mujeres que dirigen sus acciones a aspiraciones hacia un mundo con equidad. En el tercer capítulo se agrupan los aportes que se han reunido bajo el título de Epistemología y el cuarto capítulo Aportes a la Investigación recoge algunas de las ponencias que presentan resultados de gran interés. Finalmente, se presenta un apartado de reflexiones finales. En concordancia con los esfuerzos realizados, el logro de este documento es el producto del esfuerzo particular de quienes aceptaron que su trabajo fuera escrutado y revisado de nuevo.

ABSTRACT: The present book includes lectures given by special guests and a selection of contributions received in the XI Ibero-American Congress of Science, Technology and Gender, in Costa Rica in July 2016. The works are presented in 4 chapters as a resource that contributes to the reflection and deepening on the subject. In the first chapter titled Lectures, the presentations of the three academic guests are reproduced. In the second chapter, Feminist Trajectories, two life experiences related to the development of science have been included as a tribute to the struggle of countless women who direct their actions to aspirations for a world where there is equality. In the third chapter, the contributions that have been gathered under the heading of Epistemology are grouped, and the fourth chapter, Contributions to Research, collects some of the papers that presented results of great interest. Finally, a section on final reflections is presented. In line with these efforts, the achievement of this document is the product of the particular effort of those who accepted to have their work be scrutinized and revised again.
