Resumen
Este libro presenta una serie de relatos sobre educadoras y educadores destacados, escritos por estudiantes que los recuerdan con admiración y cariño. El propósito es resaltar la labor realizada por docentes que ejercieron su labor pedagógica con pasión y compromiso. Y es que la profesión docente, por la responsabilidad que conlleva en cuanto a la formación de seres humanos, exige ser ejercida por personas con vocación, conscientes de su papel en la sociedad, con una sólida preparación humanística y académica que les permita impulsar las transformaciones para la construcción de una sociedad democrática, equitativa, solidaria, pacífica y en armonía con la naturaleza.
La obra es producto de un proyecto investigativo inscrito en el Instituto de Investigación en Educación de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Costa Rica, para lo cual se planteó un estudio fenomenológico, dado que se centra en el análisis de los acontecimientos vividos por personas en sus contextos específicos, y se interesa por descubrir la propia visión de la realidad construida y actuada en sus vidas.
ABSTRACT: This book presents a series of stories about outstanding educators and educators, written by students who remember them with admiration and affection. The purpose is to highlight the work done by teachers who exercised their pedagogical work with passion and commitment. And the fact is that the teaching profession, because of the responsibility it entails in terms of the formation of human beings, requires being exercised by people with vocation, aware of their role in society, with a solid humanistic and academic preparation that allows them to promote transformations for the construction of a democratic, equitable, solidary, peaceful society in harmony with nature. The work is the product of a research project registered in the Institute of Research in Education of the Faculty of Education of the University of Costa Rica, for which a phenomenological study was proposed, since it focuses on the analysis of the events experienced by people in their specific contexts, and is interested in discovering their own vision of reality constructed and acted upon in their lives.
