Diagnóstico evaluativo de la enseñanza de las ciencias generales, del español, de estudios sociales y de inglés en la educación general básica y educación diversificada: actitud.

Abstract

Este trabajo forma parte del programa “Diagnóstico Evaluativo de la Educación Costarricense”, está relacionado particularmente con la enseñanza de Ciencias Generales, Español, Estudios Sociales e Inglés. El estudio se refiere a una exploración realizada en el campo de las actitudes tanto de los alumnos hacia la escuela o colegio, hacia el maestro o profesor y hacia las diferentes asignaturas, como de los maestros y profesores hacia las asignaturas de su especialidad y hacia la enseñanza de éstas.. Se considera necesario indagar sobre este particular dado que los sistemas educativos incluyen entre sus fines el desarrollo y adquisición de valores, actitudes e intereses. Sin embargo se observa que las escuelas han puesto mayor énfasis en el logro de objetivos cognoscitivos que en el de conductas afectivas, lo que implica un descuido de éstas. Algunas conclusiones a las que se llega son las siguientes: En general los resultados muestran que a medida que los alumnos avanzan en la escolaridad, su actitud es menos positiva ya sea hacia el colegio, como hacia el profesor y hacia las asignaturas, hecho que amerita más investigación para obtener más detalle de lo que sucede en este campo. Se encontraron diferencias entre los profesores de las diferentes regiones, mostrando los de la región Atlántica como los de la región más positiva. En general se muestra una actitud positiva, sin embargo, llama la atención el hecho de que la actitud de los maestros sea menos positiva que la de los profesores. Asimismo, la actitud hacia la enseñanza también es menos positiva que la actitud hacia la asignatura misma.

ABSTRACT: This work is part of the program "Evaluative Diagnosis of Costa Rican Education", it is particularly related to the teaching of General Sciences, Spanish, Social Studies and English. The study refers to an exploration carried out in the field of the attitudes both of the students towards the school or college, towards the teacher or professor and towards the different subjects, as well as the teachers and professors towards the subjects of their specialty and towards the teaching these .. It is considered necessary to inquire about this, given that educational systems include among their purposes the development and acquisition of values, attitudes and interests. However, it is observed that schools have placed greater emphasis on the achievement of cognitive objectives than on the affective behaviors, which implies their neglect. Some conclusions reached are the following: In general, the results show that as students progress in school, their attitude is less positive, either towards school, towards the teacher and towards the subjects, a fact that merits More research to get more detail on what is going on in this field. Differences were found between the teachers from the different regions, showing those from the Atlantic region as those from the most positive region. In general, a positive attitude is shown, however, it is striking that the teachers' attitude is less positive than that of the Professors. Likewise, the attitude towards teaching is also less positive than the attitude towards the subject itself.
