ABSTRACT: This research sought to approach the experience of young mothers who lived through their pregnancy process, as adolescents, during their stay in a public or private educational institution in our country. They were carried out with 7 young mothers who experienced pregnancy or motherhood during school and who are currently pursuing higher education. It is a qualitative research that emphasizes understanding versus description, identified as the phenomenological-hermeneutical tradition. The in-depth interview is used as a data collection technique. Interested to delve into knowing was the support that young mothers received, at the time of gestation and after the birth of their son or daughter, how did you perceive that help, if there was any, what was the institutional view? It is concluded that there is an absence of articulated institutional support and that rather those who manage to finish high school are due to the prevalence of an academic project against motherhood and the support of the family. The difficulties that adolescent girls face as a result of moral censorship, symbolic and structural violence are exposed. From a theoretical point of view, we rescue the approaches of researchers such as Claudio Stern, Ana María Fernández, Paola Faisond, among others, who handle the issue of adolescent motherhood from a critical position that questions the traditional view of adolescent pregnancy as a problem.
