Resumen
El currículo es determinante en la calidad de la educación y su dinámica y además se encuentra condicionado por la sociedad en la que se desarrolla, este estudio trata de abordar uno de los problemas planteados en el programa “Diagnósticos de la Educación Costarricense” y expone la opinión que con respecto a los lineamientos curriculares expresan los especialistas, asesores, profesores y maestros de algunas asignaturas que se imparten en el sistema educativo costarricense.
Es una investigación descriptiva que busca información acerca de la situación actual en relación con los lineamientos curriculares que orientan la enseñanza de Ciencias Generales, Español, Estudios Sociales e Inglés en la Educación General Básica y Educación Diversificada, para ello se utiliza encuestas y análisis documental en una muestra seleccionada al azar de las instituciones oficiales.
En términos generales la investigación concluye que en diverso grado, según la asignatura, las opiniones de los consultados muestran insatisfacción en relación con la atención que la enseñanza de éstas brinda a los aspectos sociales, económicos y culturales, lo mismo que al desarrollo del individuo. Una serie de aspectos que se señalan como obstaculizadores son los siguientes:
- Deficiencia en la formación de los educadores
- Un sistema educativo que no integra los contenidos de las asignaturas, lo que limita las posibilidades de desarrollo del individuo y de la sociedad.
- Divorcio entre la teoría y práctica
- Despreocupación por todo aquello que trasciende los límites del aula.
ABSTRACT: The curriculum is decisive in the quality of education and its dynamics and it is also conditioned by the society in which it is developed. This study tries to tackle one of the problems raised in the program "Diagnostics of Costa Rican Education" and expose the opinion regarding the curricular guidelines expressed by specialists, advisers, and teachers of some subjects taught in the Costa Rican educational system. It is a descriptive research that seeks information about the current situation in relation to the curricular guidelines that guide the teaching of General Sciences, Spanish, Social Studies and English in Basic General Education and Diversified Education, for which it uses surveys and documentary analysis in a randomly selected sample from official institutions. In general terms, the research concludes them to different degrees, according to the subject, the opinions of the respondents specified dissatisfaction in relation to the attention that the teaching of transmission provides social, economic and cultural aspects, as well as the development of the individual . A series of aspects that are identified as obstacles are the following: - Deficiency in the training of educators - An educational system that does not integrate the contents of the subjects, which limits the possibilities of development of the individual and of society. - Divorce between theory and practice - Lack of concern for everything that transcends the limits of the classroom.
