ABSTRACT: The study seeks to analyze the perceptions of teachers of Initial Education and Special Education regarding Inclusive Education, in early childhood, in five Costa Rican educational institutions, from a qualitative perspective and within the framework of a phenomenological study. For this, it has the collaboration of the two investigations of the disciplines of interest: Initial Education and Special Education, based on triangulating the information from an interdisciplinary perspective. The research involved 10 teachers from each discipline, who had a load of students with disabilities and who worked in inclusive spaces. In order to describe the perceptions of the teaching population, there are focus groups, in which an in-depth interview was applied to know the feelings and conceptions that they showed towards inclusive education. On the other hand, each participant was given a personal diary for whom he wrote for three school weeks the opinions and feelings that education deserved inclusive during your professional practice. Subsequently, the information was collected and qualitative data treatment was carried out with the support of the ATLAS.ti program. At the end of this stage, a protocol description is made about the study phenomenon, the participants are presented through a final focus group, in order to collect their impressions on the analysis carried out by the investigations and thus complement the definition of the phenomenon. . The main findings released so far include some coincidences and discrepancies on inclusive education that are still in the analysis stage. Namely, for the moment, the professors of embassies disciplines recognize their responsibility for inclusive education, however they discuss the barriers they face, focused on the number of students to attend or the inflexible curricular demands. They also recognize that their positive perceptions include an attitude of struggle to promote spaces for inclusion, but that this struggle can face obstacles when families are little involved in the process.
